Reviewing Lesson Progression

Learn how to review your lesson progression on the SIMVANA User Portal

Use the Lessons page to review completed lessons, time spent, and the history of individual attempts. You can also download a progress certificate and open a debrief to review what happened during a lesson.

These steps show your own data. Instructors can use the same steps while viewing a selected learner. See Reviewing Learner Data to open a learner's view first.

Overview

  1. Open the SIMVANA User Portal.
  2. Select Lessons under Progression in the left navigation.
  3. Review Lifetime Lesson Metrics at the top of the page.
  4. Review the module cards below to see progress in each area.
Metric What it shows
Total Lessons Completed The number of successful lesson completions, including repeat completions.
Unique Lessons Completed The number of different lessons completed out of the total available.
Total Time Spent in Lessons Your accumulated lesson usage time.

Each module card shows time spent, lessons completed out of the module total, and a completion progress bar.

Lesson content is organized into Modules, Categories, and Lessons. A module contains categories, and each category contains individual lessons.

Specific Lesson Details

  1. Click a module card to open details on that module.
  2. Review the module description and its lifetime metrics.
  3. Expand the category containing the lesson you want to review.
  4. Find the lesson and review its Attempts, Completions, and Time Spent.
  5. Expand the lesson to display its 10 Most Recent Attempts.

The attempt list identifies recorded attempts by status and date/time. Successful completion means all objectives were completed and the scenario's final step was reached. Completing the same lesson again adds activity without increasing the number of unique lessons completed.

Use the Lessons breadcrumb on the top of the page to return to the module overview.

Downloading a Lesson Module Certificate

The certificate records lesson completion progression for the selected module.

  1. Select Lessons in the left navigation.
  2. Open the module you want to document.
  3. Select Download Certificate near the top of the module details page.
  4. Allow the export to finish, then open the PDF using your browser's download controls.

Reviewing a Lesson Debrief

  1. Open the relevant module and expand its category.
  2. Expand the lesson to display recent attempts.
  3. Select the attempt you want to review.
  4. Review the debrief timeline.
  5. Expand timeline entries to read the step instructions and objective details.

The debrief identifies the lesson and attempt date/time. Timestamped entries show events such as Lesson Started, Step Started, Objective Complete, and the recorded lesson outcome.

Press Escape to close the debrief and return to lesson details.
